# Lynn Canyon Park

A free suspension bridge and old-growth Douglas fir forest 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver. The bridge spans the canyon 50 meters above Lynn Creek; the pool below it is a popular summer swimming hole. The Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre has free exhibits on the coastal rainforest ecosystem. A genuine alternative to Capilano for budget-conscious families.

## Insider Tips
The swimming below the bridge is excellent but cold (glacier-fed). Older kids can jump from designated rocks; always check conditions. The Twin Falls trail (1.2km return) is easy and passes two waterfalls. Arrive on weekdays — summer weekends draw large crowds to the swimming holes. Free parking near the ecology centre.
